Two-year to four-yearappliesFour-year to two-yearwith adaptationFour-year to four-yearwith adaptation
Mechanism
University advisors and success coaches work out of the community college campus. Students get pre-transfer guidance without going anywhere, and application and aid questions get answered on the spot.
Preconditions
A facilities agreement providing office space on the community college campus.
Owner, by role
Director of Transfer Success and Partnerships
Who can act
Both institutions jointly
Effort
Medium, 6 months to first visible effect
Outcome metric
Pre-transfer contact hours; transfer enrollment yield
Failure modes
Staffing models can fail if co-located coaches act as generic recruiters rather than technical advisors.
Contra-indications
Low enrollment volumes at distant partner colleges may not justify on-site staffing costs.
